GAi Detroit WINTER OUTREACH 1
Gai Detroit, under the leadership of Moreh James Howard, guided by the Ruach (Spirit), was blessed to serve the homeless residents of Detroit’s Downtown area. Due to a lack of warming centers, the Missionary Volunteers decided to go to the Rosa Parks Transit Center in the heart of Downtown where they were blessed to share with those in need.
Shared: Nine Coats, 50 Warming Bags, and 50 Lunches (Bean Soup & Turkey or Pastrami Sandwiches).
Bags Included: Hat, Gloves, Socks, Face Warmer, Neck Scarf, Thermal Sleeping Bag, Toe Warmers, Hand Warmers, Bottled Water, Water Bottle, Deodorant, Toothbrush & Paste, Soap, Body Wipes, Alcohol Swabs. Lip Balm, Pocket Tissue, Tablet Wash Cloth, Chips, Cookies, Ginger Chews, and Crackers
The Missionary Volunteers of GAi Detroit give all praises to Yahuah, The Most High, for giving us this opportunity to serve.
Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor. Proverbs 22:9
🧡Awake Milwaukee Assembly Caravan of Love | December 2025 🧡
Awake Milwaukee Assembly hit the cold streets of Milwaukee for their annual Caravan of Love, distributing backpacks and warm coats to their unhoused neighbors.
This year, they focused on areas with a predominantly male homeless population, and the outpouring of support exceeded expectations. Along with generous donations from their local Assembly, GAI International partnered with us, making it possible to reach even more people.
We distributed 24 backpacks, each filled with blankets, hygiene items, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, hand warmers, snacks, and more, along with 30 warm coats. Hot coffee and warm apple cider were also shared to bring warmth and comfort on a cold day. A brochure regarding the Milwaukee Assembly and additional available emergency resources were also provided.
Beyond meeting physical needs, they were also able to encourage, uplift, and enlighten them about who they are by sharing the Besorah, sowing seeds of hope, identity, and truth.
Because supplies were loaded in vans, they were able to serve two locations, going wherever the need was greatest. We are grateful for Yahuah and the unity, compassion, and everyone who made this possible.
Atlanta Community Ministry Service Project
The GAI Atlanta Worship Hub was blessed to serve their community through a Food Box & Toiletries Giveaway as part of their November Community Ministry Service Project.
What began as a goal to prepare two food boxes for a family of four and one for an elder was doubled by Yahuah, allowing them to provide food boxes and toiletries to four families. 💛
This outreach was facilitated by two faithful Achayot—Achot Charday (Ach Azariah) and Achot Cheri—with generous support from their Hub community and additional financial contributions from the broader GAi Mish’pacha.
The food boxes were delivered to a local elementary school near their in-person Shabbat gathering location and included a handwritten note and a flyer about their Hub.
This effort was our way of showing Yahuah’s love in action while supporting families impacted by SNAP reductions and shutdown.
